Experience

In addition to her role on the faculty of Regis College, Ms. Normilus is Director of Policy and Advocacy of International Nurse Faculty Partnership Initiative (“The Regis College Haiti Project”); Critical Care Nurse and Nurse Practitioner/Discharge Advocate Research Study: Effects of an Intensive Discharge Intervention on Medication Adherence, Glycemic Control, and Readmission Rates in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes (IDID) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was also a Medical and Surgical Nurse at Cambridge Health Alliance and Goddard House Home for Aged Women in Jamaica Plain, MA.

Mrs. Normilus is involved with many community service projects including Magny’s HIV/Aids Treatment and Prevention in Haiti and coordinator of The Health Ministry, Eagle Heights Church in Revere, MA. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Diabetes Educators, Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, New England Black Nurses Association and American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
