Experience

Professor D’Aries received his BFA in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College and his MFA in Nonfiction Writing from the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast MFA Program. His research on masculinity and the Vietnam War formed the foundation of his memoir, The Language of Men, which received the PEN/New England Discovery Award and is a finalist for ForeWord Magazine’s 2012 Book of the Year. In 2011, Anthony served as Randolph College's Writer-in-Residence. He has taught undergraduate writing and literature courses at Anna Maria College and Emerson College, as well as literacy and creative writing at the Suffolk County House of Correction.
