Center for the Study and Teaching of Writing

The Center for the Study and Teaching of Writing offers comprehensive writing support for students and professional development workshops for faculty. Our goal is to cultivate a community of writers dedicated to sharing and engaging in best writing practices.

Writing Support Services

Writing Support Services provides free writing support and resources for students of all levels and learning styles. Our tutors include Writing Specialists, Regis faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students. Through group workshops, learning communities, individual conferences, and 24-7 online support, the Writing Support Services staff helps students develop a strong understanding of writing as both process and product. When we use "writing" as a verb, we are referring to a process that includes pre-writing, developing a topic/thesis, drafting, revising, proofreading, and post-writing. "Writing" as a noun, a product, is the end result of the writing process: a polished essay, a final presentation, a published website. Writing Support Services helps students become confident, capable writers and strong editors of their own work.
