What happens at the Writing Center?
The Writing Center provides free resources and support for writers of all levels and abilities. Writing tutors assist Regis College undergraduate and graduate students with writing assignments and papers in all subjects.
The Writing Center staff helps students become confident, capable writers and strong editors of their own work.
Who tutors in the Writing Center?
The Writing Center tutors include the Coordinator, Regis faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students. All student tutors participate in a comprehensive training program that includes discussion of professional conduct, teaching practices, positive psychology, and administrative methods.
When is the Writing Center open?
Located in College Hall 383, the Writing Center is open six to seven days a week and includes morning, afternoon, and evening hours. To sign up for an appointment electronically, follow the directions in the video link below or use the kiosk in the Writing Center. Appointments range from 30 – 60 minutes. Additionally, there are drop-in opportunities when unscheduled periods exist. Students with limited access to campus may sign up for a FaceTime appointment during regular Writing Center hours. Please indicate FaceTime session in the notes section of the appointment page.
