Nursing Resource Center

Through a generous donation from the Cummings Foundation’s $100k for 100 program, the Regis Nursing Resource Center (NRC) will be

  • the 24/7 hub of educational support for our nursing students
  • a welcoming space for nursing students to study, participate in faculty-led group tutoring and implement the tools they need to help them transition successfully into professional practice as registered nurses,
  • a place for nursing students to study on their own time with the aid of both current evidence-based literature and technology to support, and
  • a point to embark on clinical courses and master competencies for the nursing profession.

Over the next three years, the Center will include individual work stations and computers for student work, areas for group work, enhanced tutoring with clinical nurse experts and key pad access. The Center will have the capability to live stream simulation scenarios in a separate debriefing room and will cultivate a peer-leadership climate in which selected students in upper-level nursing courses are taught the skills necessary to mentor other students.

A nursing faculty coordinator will oversee the Center’s day-to-day operations to ensure that this faculty-led initiative achieves the goal of excellent nursing education in our students, enabling them to enter their careers in health care with a confident and well-informed perspective.
