Part-time BS in Nursing for Non-Nurses with a Previous Bachelor’s Degree
|Tuition||Credits for graduation||Time to Complete|
|$1,150/credit||60 semester hours||3 Years|
Nurses are on the frontlines of our healthcare system. As the population ages and the demand for more and better healthcare increases, the need for registered nurses is expected to soar. If you are looking to become a nurse and already hold a bachelor’s degree in a non-nurse subject, this program is designed for you.
Classwork prepares you with knowledge needed to work in a care setting and clinical placements provide the valuable hands-on experience you need to become a highly qualified nurse. Completion of the eight semesters of part-time course work, including summers, prepares you to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a registered nurse.
You will take 6 to 8 credits a semester towards the program total of 60 credits. Rigorous coursework and clinical experience train you for a career in nursing. Prerequisites do not need to be completed at the time of application, but must be finished before starting the program.
- Clinical Pharmacology
- Complex Care Nursing
Clinical placements provide the opportunity to learn from professionals working in a clinical setting. Recent placements include Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Franciscan Hospital Rosie’s Place.
Please note at this time we are no longer accepting applications for this program.
Please see the Accelerated 16 Month BS in Nursing for another option for non-nurses with a previous bachelor's degree.
