Program Description

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is commonly associated with treatment of autism spectrum disorders; however, it has diverse applications including organizational behavior management, behavioral psychology and behavioral pharmacology. With the rise in the prevalence of autism spectrum disorders, employment for ABA therapists is expected to grow by 29% in the coming decade. This program combines the research and hands-on experience you need to start or advance in the growing field of Applied Behavior Analysis.


Program Objectives

Our ABA program prepares you for leadership roles in the implementation, evaluation, and administration of applied behavior analytic principles and methods.

  • Prepare students to effectively enter the workforce immediately upon graduation
  • Provide students with a strong foundation to pursue doctoral work in behavior analysis
  • Provide students with opportunities to learn how to deliver culturally competent care through site visits in other countries



Our ABA degree program provides a comprehensive overview of the science of learning across diverse applications. All faculty are PhD level BCBA®s with strong applied and research backgrounds.

Coursework includes:

  • Treatment Evaluation
  • Behavior Assessment
  • Ethical Practice in Applied Behavior Analysis

The Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB) has approved the course sequence as meeting the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification Examination®. Applicants will have to meet additional requirements to qualify. The Behavior Analyst Certification Board® has approved the practicum courses toward the experience requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification Examination®. Applicants may need to meet additional requirements to qualify.

Gaining Experience

Learn practical concepts

Three required practicums allow you to apply classroom learning in a professional setting where you will develop your skills, learn from professionals working in the field, and build your professional network. Recent practicum placements include ABACS, LLC, Foundation Lane, and Kindle Behavior Consultants. Graduates of the ABA program are currently working at Advances Learning Center, Foundation Lane, and ABACS, LLC.

The MS in Applied Behavior Analysis is designed for students from a wide variety of backgrounds who have an interest in the field.

Application requirements:

  • Completed application form and official transcripts
  • Personal statement; resume; three letters of recommendation
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • GRE score (May be waived by earning a grade of “B-” or higher in first two program courses. Applicant must apply and be provisionally accepted in order to take first two courses)
  • Interview with the Program Director
