2011 Graduates of the Health Administration Program
Chantel Baldwin is a 2010 graduate of Northeastern University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience. For the past two years, she has worked within the Endocrine Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital as a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Bariatric Surgery and Skeletal Health study as well as the Vitamin D study. She completed her field experience within the Emergency Department at Massachusetts General Hospital. As part of her staffing analysis project, she had the opportunity to shadow Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Attending Physicians to analyze whether or not the ED recourses are used efficiently. Her field experience at Regis helped to solidify her decision to pursue Direct-Entry Nurse Practitioner program this fall.
Judith Muganga was born in Uganda and moved to the United States in 2000. She graduated from Holy Cross with a degree in Sociology, worked for NASDAQ as an inside sales associate and later at State Street Bank as an accountant before entering the graduate program in health administration. For her field experience, Judith worked with the Granite Medical group to prepare an application for certification of a patient centered medical home (PCMH) as part of an Atrius Health strategic initiative. She welcomed he first daughter, Ariella, this past December, at the same time that she completed her graduate degree in Health Administration.
Ann Rosas came to Regis from a career in fundraising and community service. She did her field experience at the Lurie Center for Autism at MGH on a project uses health information technology to improve the quality of a clinic visit in a pediatric population at the autism clinic. She is looking forward to beginning a career in healthcare and will be serving on a committee of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology in the US Dept. of HHS this spring.
Janice Jackson is planning a career move to healthcare quality and performance or operations management with her new graduate degree. Her field experience was at Steward Healthcare’s corporate office, where she had first- hand exposure to quality and performance measurement and an opportunity to learn how other job roles contributed. She will combine knowledge gained from the graduate program and leverage previous experience in operations management, project management and quality and performance from the biotech, pharmaceutical and business sectors to succeed. Janice welcomed the small college experience of Regis with easy access to advisors and instructors, and accepting of input to make the program strong.
Emily McConnell attended Regis College as an undergraduate and works at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham as a social worker, For her field experience, she did a cost efficiency analysis of the billing practices and reimbursement for equipment in the rehabilitation department to determine the degree to which revenue was generated and to develop a more efficient tracking of the supplies and equipment being ordered.
Lauren Armano is a graduate of Worcester State University. She completed her field experience at the Joslin Diabetes Center doing a self-pay analysis program and working on the implementation of a self-pay discount policy. Lauren currently works at the Joslin Diabetes Center as a Patient Financial Counselor, for which she was hired while in the graduate program at Regis.

During her Masters in Health Administration studies at Regis College, Sara Samaniego has learned about health policy, use of technology and innovation in the health care industry, quality improvement, and quantitative research methods, among other aspects of health care management. She plans to put that knowledge to use once she finishes her field experience with the Clinical Applications group at the Joslin Diabetes Center. Her plans are to search for a position in technology or innovation development within a hospital or research center while continuing to work as a medical interpreter part time.
Dominique Pires is an undergraduate Regis alum with prior work experience at MassHealth. Dominique is completing her field experience at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, updating and creating computer based files for staff, fellows, and dentists to access information on Mass. Health eligibility, coverage, and other benefits. Domenique currently works at the Joslin Diabetes Center as a Patient Financial Counselor, for which she was hired while in the graduate program at Regis.
Ivy is a graduate of Lasell College. Ivy’s background was in business when she entered the Regis program. Ivy currently works at the Joslin Diabetes Center as a Supervisor of Patient Accounts, for which she was hired while in the graduate program at Regis.
Catherine Wilson graduated from Regis College Political Science in 1983 and obtained certification as a paralegal at Northeastern. She worked for various retailers for 25 years
In 2002, she left Filene's in to care for elderly relatives. During this time saw many encouraging things pertaining to elderly care as well as many shortcomings. In 2008 saw a flyer for the Health Administration Certificate program while at a Regis Alumni function. Dr MaryJane England was instrumental in persuading her to enroll in the program. At every alumni event President England would ask her, "Have you enrolled?" She is currently completing her field experience at Children's Hospital Boston, Department of General Surgery where she is part of a group conducting a survey on Patient Wait Time Satisfaction.
