Master of Science in Nursing (Accelerated Nurse Practitioner B.S. / M.S. in Nursing)
The purpose of the nurse practitioner program for non-nurses with a B.A. degree or B.S. degree is to prepare students to sit for the registered nurse license examination and advanced nursing practice.
Eight prerequisite coures must be completed before the start of the program: Anatomy & Physiology I and II, Chemistry I and II, Microbiology, Statistics, Human Development, and Ethics (prereqs need not be completed at point of application). The requirement of GREs or the Miller Analogies Test must be fulfilled before an application decision can be granted. Tests must have been taken within the last five years. Typically, accepted students have received a minimum of 1000 on the GREs or 410 on the Miller Analogies Test.
Students in this program must satisfactorily complete the generalist component, after which they will be awarded a bachelor of science degree and sit for the RN license examination. Upon completion of the specialist component, they will be awarded a master of science degree.

- Early Decision Deadline: Monday, December 6th, 2010
- Decisions will be mailed by: Monday, January 10th 2011
- Regular Decision: Monday: February 8th, 2011
- Regular Decision Letter mailed by: Febraury 26th, 2011
- Rolling admissions offered afterwards
All applicants, if accepted must make a $1000 deposit to secure their spot within the program.
*If a student does not apply by the priority deadline or regular deadline, or if he or she is not accepted, his or her application will be rolled into the larger pool and re-reviewed under the rolling admission policy.
