"Today we live in a world that values visual expression as much as verbal description. A picture says a thousand words! For this reason, artists who are skilled visualists will find themselves in greater demand than ever before in both the public and private sectors. However, whether the artist works for a large corporation or by herself, she must find "a way of imparting meaning to life and life to meaning." -- Norman Cousins

The Regis College Art Program offers three areas of study:

  • Art History Minor
  • Fine Arts Minor
  • Graphic Design Major
  • Graphic Design Minor

Along with the general education requirements these three art concentrations share basic art course requirements such as Basic Drawing and Art History. This early common experience among art majors and minors provides for flexibility across the program offerings and offers an appreciation of each area of concentration.
Art at Regis College is a total experience:

  • Courses in liberal arts teach students to think critically
  • Courses in fine arts teach students to express themselves
  • Courses in graphic design teach students to communicate ideas to others

The facilities for art at Regis College include the Fine Arts Center with a professional gallery, an art history lecture theater, spacious drawing and painting studios and a state-of-the-art computer graphics center. Regis College also has a well-equipped printmaking studio.
