Associate Professor of Theatre

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Frans moved to New York in 1977 to study theatre and dance. During the 1980's, he performed and toured in the U.S., Canada, and Europe with several theatre companies. Since 1985, he has taught theatre workshops at universities and conferences throughout the U.S., Ireland, and Great Britain.

From 1990-2000, Frans was an adjunct assistant professor at New York University, where he taught graduate courses in dramatic literature, movement, acting, and feminist theatre.

Frans holds a Ph.D. in theatre from New York University.
