Professional Background
Before coming to Regis College in 1997, Dr. Morrison taught in the history and literature program at Harvard University. She continues to be on the faculty of the Harvard Extension School, where she teaches academic writing. In 1999 she won the James E. Conway Award for Excellence in Teaching Writing from the Harvard Extension School.
Scholarly Interests
Jennifer co-edited a collection of essays, Edmund Spenser: Essays on Culture and Allegory (Ashgate Press, 2000). She next hopes to pursue another Spenser project, this time on the history of illustration of The Faerie Queene.
The Spenser projects reflect her interest in and commitment to interdisciplinary work, an emphasis that is reflected in her teaching. She is also looking forward to revising her dissertation, Readers Turned Writers: The Dynamics of the Sequels to Sir Philip Sidney's Arcadia, and seeing it into print.
