Top Level Playing Fields on Way to Regis
February 6, 2009
Weston, MA.
It’s winter, but think spring
Regis athletes have become used to the fact that home games were played at Wellesley College, and away games were played in Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and spots in between. With new playing fields on their way, however, students are talking.
“A lot of us are really excited. Since I came to Regis, we’ve never played a home game because the fields were not up to NCAA standards,” said Sophomore Shannon Hurley, a member of the Student Athletes Advisory Committee and nursing major. “Now the Regis students can come out and support the team,” she added.
Here are some photos taken before the snows of Christmas break, but not yet the glories of the new fields to come. Even if the groundhog recently saw his shadow, spring is coming – so stay tuned to see the new fields!
