Regis to Host Jobs Fair for Students

January 20, 2014

As the Spring semester gears up and students ponder their future employment opportunities, Regis is planning its second annual Jobs Fair. Last year’s event successfully resulted in many hires by prominent Boston-based employers. In fact, the event was so successful, employers have been proactively contacting Regis to recruit on campus. “We are still talking about how great Regis College is,” commented a recruiter from a Fortune 500 company. Another recruiter noted “we recruit at a lot of schools and the students are okay, but something is missing. That missing ingredient is here at Regis.”

This year’s Connection 2014 Jobs Fair will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00pm in the College Hall Foyer. Already 23 employers have committed to participate. What makes the Connections 2014 Jobs Fair different is that Regis does not charge employers for on-campus recruiting, something that most colleges do. Employers will find a diverse student population whose focus on liberal arts combined with experiential learning makes them ready for the work force. The Fair is open to Regis undergraduate and graduate students.

Susan Kennedy, Director of Internships and Career Development at Regis, observed that “the employers from last year’s event were very impressed by Regis students. Our students are interdisciplinary thinkers who come from a diverse demographic making them primed and ready for the global market of the real world.”
