Regis mourns the passing of president emerita Sister Jeanne d'Arc O'Hare, CSJ, PhD

Sister Jeanne d'Arc O'Hare, CSJ

A beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston for 72 years, died Saturday, March 16, 2013. Daughter of the late Michael J. and Theresa B. O'Hare and sister of the late Margaret B. O'Hare and John F. O'Hare. Survived by her sisters, Catherine D. Lind and Ann O. Smith, cherished aunt of her nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. Formerly missioned as a teacher at Mount St. Joseph Academy, Brighton; St. Clement, Somerville; and Cathedral High School, Boston. Sister Jeanne d'Arc also ministered as President of Regis College, Professor, Director of Continuing Education, and Archivist at Regis College, Weston. Sister served as General Councilor for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston; and Secretary of Education and Cabinet Member for the Archdiocese of Boston. Sister Jeanne d'Arc was a member of the Board of Trustees for St. John Seminary, Brighton; St. Joseph College, Maine; St. Sebastian's School, Needham; and Boston College High School. Visiting hours at Holy Spirit Chapel, Bethany Health Care Center, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, Monday, March 18, 2013, 3:30-6:00 p.m. Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Mass. Prayers of Final Commendation at Bethany, Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick. Arrangements by Norton Funeral Home, Framingham.
