Regis Program at Rosie's Place Receives Donation from Women of the Massachusetts State Police

Rosie's Place TroopersOn Thursday, October 29, 2009, Associate Professor Mary Smalarz, who oversees the Regis College School of Nursing and Health Professions outreach to Rosie's, received over a $6000 donation from the Women of the Massachusetts State Police for the Regis program at Rosie's. Nursing faculty and students regularly go to Rosie's and help with the health care of the clients. The Women Troopers have organized different extra-curricular events, including softball games, through which they collect donations for such causes as Rosie's. Besides Associate Professor Smalarz, among the Troopers pictured here with Regis President Mary Jane England, MD, is President England's daughter Kara, who is also an attorney, Dean Toni Hays, RN, PhD, of the School of Nursing and Health Professions, and Regis Campus Police Chief Sean Maher.
