Committed to Service

Regis College students are encouraged to become involved in community service both on and off campus. A wide variety of experiences, including spending spring break working in the Peruvian village of Villa El Salvador or with the New Beginnings program in the Framingham area, are available through the Campus Ministry office. Campus Ministry and the Community Service Coordinator offer several service opportunities and partnerships have formed with organizations in the Boston area in a variety of issue areas. The nine campus-community partners are as follows:

The Bethany Hill School
Independent, affordable housing located in Framingham, MA -
Cradles to Crayons
A program that collects, sorts, and distributes goods to children living in homeless or low-income situations located in Brighton, MA -
Land’s Sake
A public farm and environmental program in Weston, MA -
Casserly House
A learning, assistance, and caring center for the underserved located in Roslindale, MA -
Rosie’s Place
A sanctuary for poor and homeless women that has an emergency shelter and a soup kitchen as well as other necessities located in Roxbury, MA -
St. Ambrose Family Shelter
A family shelter located in Dorchester, MA -
The Food Project
Community gardens and food awareness programs for youth located in Lincoln, Lynn, Beverly, and Boston -
Elizabeth Seton Academy
A private Catholic all girls’ college preparatory high school in Dorchester -
Roche Family Community Center
A community center located in West Roxbury, MA
