Regis welcomes Harpoon Brewery CEO to Liberal Arts Lecture SeriesOctober 6, 2016
The Regis School of Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce this year’s Liberal Arts Lecture Series lineup. The first event on October 13th will feature Dan Kenary of Wellesley, co-founder and CEO of Harpoon Brewery. Kenary will highlight how his liberal arts background influenced his life as a successful businessman.
Kenary is the son of Regis alum Marianne Donoghue Kenary ’54, and has been in the beer business for 30 years.
The lecture will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Regis Fine Arts Center, 235 Wellesley Street, Weston. It is free and open to the public.
Other lectures in the series include a poetry reading by Tino Villanueva, Chicano poet from Boston University on November 2nd at 3 pm; “The Presidential Election of 2016: Aftermath and Implications” by Wendy Schiller, chair of the Department of Political Science at Brown University on December 1st at 4 pm; and “Animal Stories: How Wild Things Make us Human” by Vicki Croke, author of numerous books including Elephant Company and The Modern Ark on April 11, 2017 at 5 pm.
