Office of Human Resources
The Office of Human Resources serves the institution in all aspects of Personnel Management, Benefits Administration, and Employee Relations. It is responsible for the implementation and communication of the College’s personnel policies and procedures, the hiring process, completion of records related to employment, performance management and evaluation, and administration of employment benefits. It ensures compliance with state and federal regulations related to employment and benefits administration and sponsors events to promote and develop community. Dedicated to excellence, leadership and service, Human Resources practices reflect the Regis College mission statement and the heritage of its founding order the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston.
The Regis College administrative, professional, office, and service staff are student-centered, mission-driven, and dedicated to professionalism in their work for the College. There are approximately 260 staff employees, just over 60 percent of whom are full-time. Most employees in office positions work a 35-hour weekly schedule with a flextime schedule during the summer. Full-time service staff work a 40-hour week.
The Regis College faculty consists of 96 full-time members and approximately 114 part-time members. Seventy percent of the full-time faculty hold doctoral or other terminal degrees. In addition to carrying out research and publishing within their individual fields, faculty at Regis possess a highly developed commitment to teaching. Small class sizes and a low student-faculty ratio allow Regis to afford its students a distinctive level of individualized instruction.
The College offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees as part of its compensation program. Benefits include a health insurance plan, a dental plan, a Section 125 plan, a liberal holiday schedule, PTO days, medical leave days, short-term disability and several tuition discount programs for employees and family members, as well as a College retirement plan upon service eligibility. Full-time employees receive life and long-term disability insurance. Other services include a children's center, free use of athletic and library services, dining services, free shuttle service to and from Riverside MBTA station, and free parking on campus. Employees are welcome to attend a variety of cultural events on campus and may participate in programs offered by Center for Ministry & Service at Regis.
