Professor Weintraub is an associate professor. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, her master’s degree at the California State University in Los Angeles and her doctorate at Boston College. She is a past president of the Eastern Communication Association and is actively involved with the National Communication Association.
Of particular interest to Professor Weintraub is the pedagogy of service-learning which she has incorporated into her courses since the early 1990s. She has served on NCA’s Task Force for Service-learning and Communication and was the co-editor of NCA’s Toolkit for Service-learning and Communication. In addition, she has delivered over twenty academic papers at regional and national conventions on service-learning, has published articles on service-learning and was the guest editor for a special issue on service-learning for the communication teacher.
Professor Weintraub teaches a variety of courses at Regis including public speaking, organizational communication (undergraduate and graduate), small group communication, interpersonal communication, business and professional communication (graduate), introduction to communication as well as the junior seminar and the capstone course in research for graduating seniors. In addition, she has served as both an advisor and a reader for several master’s theses.
