Ms. Donahue-McElhiney taught Spanish for 18 years and was the Assistant Director of World Languages in the Salem School System. She taught in Brookline for 17 years retiring in 2007 after 35 years in public schools. For the past 18 years and in the present she teaches Spanish to resident doctors, precepting doctors, nurses and behavioral scientists at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Clinic in Lawrence. Since 2007 she has offered workshops for EDCO and TEC on using Video in the Classroom, Multiple Intelligences, The Backward Design and Language Assessment, and Comparative Cultures. For the past 30 years she has been the Coordinator for the National Spanish Exam for the State of Massachusetts. She has also given various presentations for AATSP and MaFla.
