Head Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Coach
Melinda (Mindy) Williams took over the reigns as Head Coach for Women’s Swimming and Diving at Regis in July of 2004. In addition, in November of 2006, Coach Williams accepted the role of the inaugural Men’s Swimming and Diving Program, officially competing as a varsity program in the 2007-08 academic year.
Coach Williams, a native of Vermont, is a graduate from Colby College. Prior to her appointment at Regis, Coach Williams held the position of assistant coach of both swimming and water polo at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., and is currently the head coach of the Vergennes (Vermont) Swim Team, a summer youth program.
While at Colby College, Coach Williams competed at the varsity level for four years and was a NCAA Qualifier in 2000 and 2003 in the 1650, 500 and 400 Individual Medley events. She was the NESCAC Runner-up in 2003 in the 1650 freestyle and won All-NESCAC honors in the 1650, 500 and 200 freestyle relay. In addition to her coaching duties, Coach Williams will also serve as the department’s Aquatics Director.
