Bob McKinley
Head Softball Coach
Bob McKinley was named Associate Head Softball Coach at Regis in January of 2007. In May of 2007, Coach McKinley was elevated to Head Softball Coach, replacing Heather Gilmour, who left the program to concentrate on her duties as Head Coach of the Regis Field Hockey Program and Assistant Athletic Director.
Having coached softball at a variety of levels for over twenty years, Coach McKinley has extensive experience at both the high school and collegiate levels.
Retired from the City of Cambridge (Mass.) Fire Department, Coach McKinley began his involvement in the sport with the Winchester Sachem Youth Baseball/Softball organization from 1985 through 1995 serving in a number of roles including coach, league vice-president, director and commissioner. In addition, McKinley served as Head Coach of the Diamonds ASA Junior Olympic Team in the U-16 and U-18 age groups from 1995-1998.
From 1999 through 2004, “Coach Mac” held the post of Lasell College’s inaugural Head Softball Coach, claiming over 100 victories and a 2002 North Atlantic Conference Championship during his tenure. Following his departure from Lasell, McKinley served as the Head Softball Coach at The Rivers School in Weston, Mass. for two seasons prior to his arrival at Regis.
Joe Creedon
Assistant Softball Coach
Joe Creedon joined the athletic staff at Regis in 2007 as Assistant Head Softball Coach. Coach Creedon has been coaching baseball and softball for almost twenty years. He has coached youth baseball and softball teams ranging from the elementary to the high school level. Coach Creedon has coached four champion teams in the Stoneham Spark ASA fast-pitch softball tournament program and in the Mass Inferno ASA/NSA fast-pitch softball tournament program. He has also assisted in the North American Women’s Baseball League (NAWBL). Currently playing baseball in the Boston Men’s Baseball League and in baseball tournaments across the country, Creedon is also a member of the San Antonio Texas Bombers, the 2006 Men’s Amateur World Series Champion baseball team.
