Human Computer Interaction Major
Many computer applications call for the design of components that interact with the user. This requires knowledge of the theories of cognitive processes, human information processing and performance, the human capabilities needed to use machines, and the empirical analyses of user behavior.
In studying human computer interaction at Regis College, you will:
- Learn about developing interactive computer systems that are safe, effective, efficient, and easy to use and learn.
- Learn how psychology supports the study of human computer interaction.
- Take courses in graphic design and master the design aspects for the creation of graphical user interfaces and the use of computer technology in design and presentation.
You will also test your programming skills and build contacts in the world off campus by participating in the required internship experience.
