Scholarly Interests
Pat's scholarly interests focus on the intersection of fine arts and literature, women novelists of the 18th and 19th centuries, the development of the novel, and contemporary poetry. She has written on Blake's art and poetry, Rossetti's indebtedness to Blake, and the continuation of Blake's influence on artists and writers throughout the 19th century. Other subjects include Charlotte Smith's political novels and Evelina by Fanny Burney.
Most recently, she has written a collection of poems, Greek Mornings, an ongoing project concerning the journey to self through the power of place. She hopes to publish this collection on the Web in the immediate future.
Pat has participated in seminars on the post-doctoral level at MIT, Columbia, and the University of London.
