In the Communication Department at Regis College, we provide students with a strong foundation in the communication discipline. Communication majors take a wide range of practical, intellectually engaging courses that focus on oral, written, visual, and theoretical communication principles.

Many communication majors gain real-life experience through our internship program. Students are placed in internships at advertising and public relations firms, radio and television stations, as well as conference and event planning companies. These experiences help students apply what they have learned in the classroom and enhance their professional preparation.

Communication majors also work on service-learning projects with a variety of nonprofit organizations, including schools and nursing homes. Through these experiences, they connect theory and practice, engage in meaningful work, and see they can truly make a difference in the community.

For those looking to accelerate their college education, we offer the Degree-in-3 Program, which allows qualified students to earn their communication degree in three years. In addition, students may complete their master's degree in organizational and professional communication by studying full-time for one additional year. Part-time study is also an option for completing a graduate degree.

The Communication Department maintains a challenging, dynamic, and supportive environment for our students. Our classes are small and our faculty—who collectively have expertise spanning the communication field—enjoy working closely with students.

Upon graduation, our students are well-prepared to enter the working world or pursue graduate study in communication, law, and many other areas. Our graduates have found success in fields such as television, public relations, journalism, advertising, and nonprofits.
