Biochemistry Courses
The following courses are required for the biochemistry major:
For students planning graduate work in biochemistry, we strongly recommend additional work in mathematics and physics, as well as a second semester of physical chemistry.
Elective Courses
Biochemistry majors must elect at least one additional upper-level chemistry or biology course from the offerings of either the biology program or chemistry and physics program.
Most students have sufficient room in their program for several electives. This allows for the development of specific interests, or preparation for specific employment or for professional and graduate study.
