Internships allow students to apply classroom learning to the world of work while receiving academic credit. By observing and participating in practical work settings, you can examine and clarify your career-related interests, abilities, and values in a variety of fields. A faculty member serves as an advisor to each student who undertakes an internship.
Possibilities for internship placements exist within the public, private, and non-profit sectors. The Experiential Learning & Career Center catalogs in binders all internship listings that we receive from employers. We post some of these internship opportunities online. In addition, you may visit our office to peruse the perspectives of students who have completed internships.
If you are interested in pursuing an internship, please consult your departmental advisor and utilize the services of the Experiential Learning & Career Center.
