Partners in Excellence Mentoring Program
The Partners in Excellence (PIE) Mentoring Program is designed to provide personal guidance and support to first year students of color and first generation students through the assignment of trained peer, faculty, staff, and graduate mentors. Through structured and unstructured interactions with mentors, first-year students participating in PIE will establish meaningful relationships that increase their engagement in and out of the classroom contributing positively to their retention at Regis.
Finucane and O’Sullivan Institute for Learning
Need help with a class or paper? The Institute for Learning offers free content and writing tutoring. Drop-in hours and scheduled appointments are available throughout the semester. Student support coaches are also available to meet with you to answer questions, help you connect with services on campus, or provide tailored support based on your individual learning needs.
In additional to individual appointments, the Institute also offers learning communities, where you can connect with peers and a student support coach to talk about the college experiences and help to brainstorm solutions to any barriers you may have to your college success.
Financial Assistance
Applying for financial aid is easier than you think! Find the help and support you need to pay for college by visiting Regis’s Office of Financial Aid. Don’t rule us out because of cost! Financial aid can assist with finding work-study jobs, scholarships, grants and loans. Also, be sure to check out iGrad, our interactive Financial Wellness website that can help you plan a budget and track your student loans.
Academic Advising
The Office of Academic Advising supports all Regis students in the selection of courses as they move toward completing their major requirements, providing guidance and space for students to explore their strengths, interests and professional aspirations. Advisors also act as a resource to connect students with campus groups and attend events to broaden their personal and educational experience as active members of the Regis community.
Whether commuting or living on campus, first year students are assigned a First-Year Advisor to help them make a successful transition to college and become familiar with the resources available to them. Beginning in their second year, students, including transfer students, are assigned a faculty advisor in their academic major, who will guide them with course selection and answer questions regarding careers in their chosen field. Advising strives to support the personal growth and development of all students in the areas of positive decision making skills, goal setting, and collaborative learning throughout their entire experience at Regis.
